Caliente House is undoubtedly one of the most impressive vacation homes in the desert, so don’t hesitate to make your holiday “extra hot” with a stay at this unique property. From the moment you arrive at this impressive home, you will be wowed by the elegant facade prior to even stepping inside the peacock blue double front doors. Upon entering, the magnitude of the luxurious ambience inside commences with the charcoal porcelain terrazzo inspired floors that stretch across the living spaces. These are enveloped by dark brown walls, colorful and graphic wall installations, and gallery white areas that create stunning dimensions while setting a soulful atmosphere. The formal living area unfolds in front of you, with an oversized L-shape sofa, club chairs and cognac leather armchair with ottoman providing ample sumptuous seating for all guests, as well as some extra visitors you’d love to show this home off to. The centerpiece is a vintage rams’ head coffee table, while high ceilings and large panes of glass - split by a gold finished fireplace - create a light and airy feel, offering views to the garden. Through the extra wide doorways, the second living area presents itself, dominated by a daisy patterned wallpaper set behind a midcentury style sofa from which you can relax and take in your choice of show on the 65” wall mounted television. Alternatively, sit at the built-in wet bar, inspired by something from a James Bond film with its gold patterned front, complimented by midcentury-styled gold pendant lighting. The home is decked out with not only high quality barware and glasses, but an abundance of vintage glass pieces, including many Murano items and vintage lamps. Meanwhile, wherever you are in the home you can also enjoy your soundtrack of choice with a Sonos system as well as a Bose bluetooth speaker. The dining room presents an elegant glass dining table with gold legs, surrounded by six silk chairs, conveniently located next to the the newly remodeled kitchen with its rich walnut cabinets, black hardware and dark brown quartz countertops and desert hue-inspired backsplash. As well as the golden pendant lighting above the counter providing stool seating for another three, the fully-stocked kitchen is finished beautifully with modern, high-end JennAir appliances. For accommodations, Caliente House provides three bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom… The oversized primary suite presents a beautiful hotel quality king-size blue velvet bed with luxurious Brooklinen linens and matching chaise lounge. A wall-mounted frame TV provides something to watch when not taking in the mountain views through the floor to ceiling windows. A walk through closet provides both ample storage space as well as a luxurious built-in bench to sit on. Proceeding to the large en-suite bathroom, you will enjoy a walnut-faced double vanity, free-standing bath, and extra large walk-in shower with Spanish-inspired charcoal patterned tile, all set in front of the large window, giving you an inside-outside feel. The home’s second bedroom presents a similar level of luxury, again delivering a hotel quality mattress and super soft Brooklinen linens framed by a walnut headboard with built-in nightstands, and hanging ball pendant lights. Once more there’s a wall-mounted frame television, abundant closet space and en-suite bathroom with walnut-faced double vanity, this time accompanied by a large white textured tile walk-in shower. This beautiful home’s third bedroom can be utilized as a study with its desk and convertible leather daybed. A blow up Queen bed is also available. The gold-patterned wallpaper in this room completes the midcentury aesthetic beautifully, while the hall bathroom here features the same level of finish with vanity, toilet and walk-in shower all at your disposal. Heading outside, you’ll immediately recognize this is the epitome of Palm Springs living… The salt water pool with inbuilt spa is the centerpiece of this magnificent area, surrounded by 4 sun lounges, a luxurious conversation area and an outdoor kitchen complete with grill, fridge and sink, plus additional stool seating. All framed by palm trees and mountains for days, a grassed area provides the perfect spot for some outdoor games, while the adjacent fire pit provides the place for a cooler desert night’s stargazing. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING! •Responsible party booking this reservation must be at least 25 years old and present for the entire stay booked. •An outside contract is required by the city of Palm Springs will need to be read and signed prior to your visit. A link will be sent after your reservation is confirmed. The responsible guest on the reservation will also need to provide a photo of their government issued ID as required for short term rentals in the city of Palm Springs. •All guests will need to read and sign the Good Neighbor Form and a face to face greeting at check in is required. •This space is set up for 6 adults. Please adjust your guest count accordingly prior to booking. There are up to 4 additional day guests allowed between the hours of 10AM-10PM. • This home is not child proofed. Cabinets are not secured, there is a pool and hot tub without child locks, we do have breakable items in the home. We welcome adults who bring well behaved children but we expect them to fully supervise their child at all times and do not advertise or guarantee that the home is in any way child safe /child proofed. ***Heating the pool for your visit is optional, and is an additional $95 per night. Pool heat can be added for all nights of any given reservation only. Reservations 28 nights or more can be charged actual utilities costs for the time of the reservation should pool heat be requested. A $1000 deposit will be required and actual cost determined within 2 weeks of check out. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you would like to choose this option. • NO CHECK-IN ON HOLIDAYS. If your reservation start date falls on any holiday listed you will need to rebook your check-in date. Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day. PARTIES AND NOISE: Music of any kind and at any level is not allowed outside. Tenant agrees not to bring speakers outside and to not crank up the music playing inside so it can be also heard outside. If music is on inside, sliders and windows must be closed to ensure music cannot be heard from the property line. This is a mandate by the city of Palm Springs for all short term rentals. •Responsible Party and all guests agree to keep the noise level inside and outside the house at respectable levels, so as to not interfere with the peace and quiet of any person outside the boundaries of the property. Responsible Party agrees to conform to all provisions and city ordinances per the relevant Municipal Code. •Bookings over 28 nights are not subject to TOT tax. •Additional cleaning fees will be added for stays over 14 nights. A cleaning rate of $550 per cleaning will be scheduled bi-weekly during your stay and paid through the Resolution Center. A full linen change out is included. Cleanings will be arranged weekly/biweekly to accommodate guests schedules. •An outside online contract, required by the city of Palm Springs, will need to be completed and signed prior to your visit. The responsible guest on the reservation must complete the contract and will also need to provide a photo of their government issued ID and provide the full names of all guests over 12 years of age. -Surveillance or recording devices on property - Ring camera at front and garage entry to monitor entrance and noise monitoring device inside main living area and pool area It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels). NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. If you have any questions, please ask. Failure of Tenant to adhere to City regulations will be considered a breach of this rental agreement. Tenant hereby authorizes the Manager to make charges to the Responsible Party for up to $1,500 per incident, should any complaint about the noise level inside/outside the house arise with the local police or the local city authorities. Furthermore, Tenant recognizes the right of the manager to ask Guests and guest's of the responsible guests to vacate the home immediately if it becomes necessary without a refund of the rental amount. Guest booking this home must be 25 year or older. Parties and events are not permitted. This home allows a maximum of 6 adults. There are strict music, noise, and parking restrictions in Palm Springs and the booking guest will be responsible for any and all fines incurred during their visit. We reserve the right to immediately cancel any guest stay without a refund if any of the rental rules are violated. No more than 3 cars may be parked at this home during your stay. All activities must be taken inside by 10 pm to comply with the city wide quiet hours ... and to be good neighbors. A copy of a government issued ID will be required of the booking guest along with signing an additional private rental contract acknowledging the rental guidelines and rules and all adult guest names listed on the contract. Pool heating is an additional $95 per night of your visit. Spa heating is included with your reservation. All stays over 14 nights are required to have mid stay cleanings scheduled a minimum of every 2 weeks during the guest stay. Located in the quiet and upscale neighborhood of Indian Canyons in a highly desirable area of South Palm Springs, Caliente House is a modernist fan’s dream with amazing period architecture and dazzling views at every turn. Indian Canyons, formerly known as Canyon Country Club, was the first fully planned community in Palm Springs. Built in the 1960s on a championship golf course, it’s a beautiful mix of distinctive mid-century architecture. You can tour many of these homes during Modernism Week each year in February. For the modern architecture lover, it's an event not to be missed! Stroll down to the club and have a cocktail while looking out over the amazing fountain donated by Walt Disney himself. Rumor has it that it was a gift after the golf pro helped his son improve his handicap. The Smoke Tree Village strip mall is less than 5 minutes drive away, giving you a supermarket and many other services, as well as a host of tasty restaurants to choose from. The Deepwell Antique District is also about 5 minutes drive away for all the best midcentury finds, while Downtown Palm Springs itself can be reached in under 10 minutes, giving you an even more extensive range of cafes and eating options, as well as shopping galore.

Most guests rent a car at the airport or drive to Palm Springs. The garage can easily hold 1 car. Minutes from downtown by Lyft or Uber you can be anywhere in Palm Springs without ever having to get in your car. We always recommend renting bikes for at least one day. Our neighborhood is filled with mid century homes and landscapes to explore.
