Ease yourself past the iconic breeze block to reach the front door and usher yourself into a magnificently curated showcase of midcentury design at Casa Gia. The original room divider brings you in past the kitchen and presents the open plan living area with floor to ceiling glass before you. In the lounge, the original 1980s Roche Bobois sectional couch, Atelier de Troupe oval glass coffee table and 'Pastil' fiberglass bubbly chair by Eero Aarnio sit magnificently on the Atelier de Troupe designed CC Tapis rug. They complete a clean but cozy look where you’ll feel immediately comfortable, while lighting by Gae Aulenti and Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni set the scene at night. The nearby dining area features a stylish 4-seater Atelier de Troupe dining table and 4 chairs, sitting perfectly under the 'Compas' drop pendant by the same designer. This is nicely situated adjacent to the remodeled and fully-stocked kitchen where three wicker Dirk Van Sliedregt barstools frame the counter. The kitchen cabinetry meanwhile pairs perfectly with the wooden tongue and groove ceilings giving you that organic old school feel. For accommodations, Casa Gia features three super stylish bedrooms that continue the high design aesthetic… The primary bedroom features back yard views and a magnificently soft king bed, flanked by Eero Saarinen’s 'Pedestal' night stands, a chrome Atelier de Troupe table lamp and 'Parentesi Suspension' wire floor lamp by Achille Castiglioni. You’ll also find a unique Noguchi-inspired white metal chair and the iconic ‘Marema' plastic stacking tables by Gianfranco Frattini. The bedroom’s en-suite with its striking grey tiles gives you a sunken bath and shower, vanity, and toilet. The queen bedroom features a queen bed with Brooklinen linens, sitting nicely under the seven prints that make up the ‘Pools’ series by artist Benjamin Critton for Norma. The bed is accompanied by the clean lines of lucite nightstands with Vernon Paton 'Flowerpot VP3' white table lamps, and the Eames fiberglass chair. This bedroom utilizes the nearby hallway bathroom where the ‘Pools’ wall art continues accompanied by a Eames wire base low table, while giving you a walk-in shower with classic neutral-toned mosaic tiles, plus vanity, and toilet. The twin bedroom presents a classic mid-century layout with its custom designed corner table and twin beds, made by Michael McConnell for Atelier de Troupe. Here you’ll also find a 1970s Danish table lamp, plus wall art featuring a vintage Oaxacan wool weaving, and a pencil on paper piece by artist Cody Hoyt. Heading outside, you’ll take in a magnificent yard full of wonderful options for outdoor desert activities, all accompanied by the clean lines of 'Locus Solus' furniture designed by Gae Aulenti. The breeze block framed, large heated (upon request) pool is the centerpiece, with ample sun lounges surrounding it, some under the convenient shade-giving pergola. Down one end of the pool is a cute ‘cafe style’ sitting area, while the opposite side of the pool is where you’ll find the bocce court for endless hours of competition. There’s also a uniquely designed fire pit area with its log stools and circular white seating. Adjacent to the house is the dining area under the covered patio, with a sophisticated looking 6-seater white dining set, and a gas grill just around the corner where you can prepare a well-designed feast worthy of this house’s inimitable style. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING! •Responsible party booking this reservation must be at least 25 years old and present for the entire stay booked. •This space is set up for 6 adults/kids plus 2 children 12 and under per our Palm Springs short term rental permit. Please adjust your guest count accordingly prior to booking. A maximum of 3 cars are permitted at the property at any time. • This home is not child proofed. Cabinets are not secured, there is a pool and hot tub without child locks, we do have breakable items in the home. We welcome adults who bring well behaved children but we expect them to fully supervise their child at all times and do not advertise or guarantee that the home is in any way child safe /child proofed. • NO CHECK-IN ON HOLIDAYS. If your reservation start date falls on any holiday listed you will need to rebook your check-in date. Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day, New Years Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day. ***Heating the pool for your visit is optional, and is an additional $95 per night of your visit. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you would like to choose this option! •There are noise ordinances here in PS, so NO MUSIC is allowed outside on any device at ANY TIME. In addition, there can be no outdoor noise after 10PM. There is NO MUSIC ALLOWED OUTSIDE. NO music on your phone, bluetooth device - NO MUSIC. If our noise monitors alert, a neighbor complains, someone reports you to the City of Palm Springs, or the police, you will be responsible for ANY & ALL fines and you can and will be subject to removal from the property with no refund for unused time. The minimum charge is $500 if they are called out and if a complaint is made to our staff, city compliance, or the police, and/or citation is issues you will be asked to leave immediately with NO refund - so PLEASE have fun but bring it inside after 10PM and remember about the music being a NO NO at anytime outdoors - not even inside with doors open so it can be heard outside. • 12.5% tax has been charged as a “Transient Occupancy Tax” per the City of Palm Springs requirements. •Bookings over 28 nights are not subject to TOT tax. •Additional cleaning fees will be added for stays over 10 days. A cleaning rate of $425 per cleaning will be added bi-weekly per week of your stay and requested through the resolutions center. Cleanings will be arranged weekly/biweekly to accommodate guests schedules. •An outside contract is required by the city of Palm Springs will need to be read and signed prior to your visit. One is located at the front entrance and the other is on the east side facing the front yard.
